I don't think that she was being disruptive by holding a sign. Isn't blocking a public sidewalk an offense? Why can't she walk back and forth with her sign? What would these Elder goons do if she wanted to walk past them?

They will not allow protestors on the property and will use brothers, big brothers, to block them from view of the sheeple.
She is on a public sidewalk. She is not in the venue.
They paid for the venue.
They don't own the sidewalks. She has every right to protest and show her sign.
And intimidating? They just stood there. They didn't push her, didn't get in her face.
Seven big burly men standing in two rows blocking her from walking on a sidewalk they don't own. Why didn't they place some woman or small kids? Isn't seven burly men intimidating to a small woman?

Idiots like this who indulge in illegal "religious" activism do absolutely nothing to help waken active JW's. They merely reinforce the indoctrinated view of "evil apostates."
I agree! Nothing he says will awaken anyone sitting at the meeting! It is scary as an audience member to have anyone stand up and interrupt the meeting. Who knows what mental condition this person is in who comes out of nowhere and disrupt the meeting? Just like anyone interrupting any official meeting, he should be made to leave.
Better still, hand out pamphlets, make signs or walk outside the conventions and protest the lies, flip-flops, blood policy and disfellowshipping policies of the Watchtower Society.
Please do not interrupt the meetings! I don't see anyone who is indoctrinated ever agreeing with ''evil apostates.''
last night i dreamt i was at a circuit assembly; i even had a walk-on speaking part early in the morning program.
i spent the rest of the day “working” the event in a security detail.
the dream lasted until the entire day’s program was over.
I have many dreams where I see my deceased mom and deceased cousin at the meetings. They wave at me but never do I talk to my mom or my cousin. I sit in the back and tell myself that I don't belong here ( just like it was in real life where I hated every minute of every meeting).
The Kingdom Hall seems larger with so many new members I do not recognize. Everything seems different. My mind tells me to leave and I walk out. My dreams seem to tell me that I did well by walking out 7 years ago.
as you know, when you work your whole life, you pay into social security.
at retirement, you collect a paycheck from the government based on a percentage of income you drew for all those years.
do any of you know anyone that had been at bethel for decades and then were laid off?
"Cleanliness is next to godliness," said Mario Beltrami, a Witness from Plantation who was helping oversee the prep work at the home of the Florida Panthers hockey team. "We're not finding a lot of dirt. We just like to give it a sprucing up. We want to make sure it's clean for us and our guests."
More than 20,000 Witnesses went door to door during the past few weeks inviting the public to the convention. The event is free and no collection will be taken.
Does anyone know where District Overseer Mario Beltrami is today? He should be in his early 70's today. He and his wife were our congregation Overseers and I found them to be a wonderful couple. Mario would come to my house with the local elders to see why I missed so many meetings. I found him to be an honorable man. The local elders were not so kind to me.
Mario and his wife were transferred to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area over 10 years ago. The Society provided an apartment in the Fort Lauderdale area for him and his wife. I hope that the Watchtower Society didn't leave him and his wife high and dry.
how can the watchtower society claim effectiveness in their 140 years of preaching the ''good news''..... spending billions of hours in ''field service'', having the ''faithful and discreet slave'' lead the preaching work, passing out billions of watchtower literature since the 1870's, while the pentecostals have been more effective using other evangelical methods?

Yet, on those occasions I have seen JWs in public, they are idly sitting looking bored at their phones with no passersby in sight.

As I've posted numerous times - if there really were a "Jehovah", and he really wanted a group to proclaim a "worldwide witness", he'd have fired the JWs decades for the piss-poor hash they are making of their "work".
sir82....that is exactly the point I'm trying to make! How can a group that has the backing of Jehovah and the ''faithful and discreet slave'', spend billions of hours preaching per year, spent 140 years declaring the ''end times'', have millions of ''bible studies'', print and distribute millions of books and magazines per year...... and in the meantime, the Pentecostals have a greater success in getting out their message and recruitment with little evangelical methods.

And you are treating all Pentecostals as one group. Pentecostals consist of a huge number of different organisations with variations in belief and practice.
Yes! Even with 700 different denominations, how do they get 279 million members to join? Since they don't go door to door like Jehovah's Witnesses, shouldn't they be admired for their massive membership? Someone wants the hear about Jesus!
I guess my question is....." How do people hear about Pentecostal churches? Does someone just walk into their church meetings, are you invited to attend, or does the television ministry bring people in?
Isn't something really wrong with the Watchtower Society message that people actually join other religions?
Goes to show you that Jehovah is not behind this religion!

Comprising over 700 denominations and a large number of independent churches, there is no central authority governing Pentecostalism; however, many denominations are affiliated with the Pentecostal World Fellowship. There are over 279 million Pentecostals worldwide, and the movement is growing in many parts of the world, especially the global South.
